Snow patrol

Remarkably I've been away. Omicron and some severe weather conspired against me slightly, but overall my American road-trip went off pretty well. This was of course my second attempt, the first one blew up in late October when I caught the virus, but travelling over a month later, in December, did mean that the suite of birds on offer was slightly different, and not in a bad way. In a kind of very cold, very white and extremely snowy kind of way. Here is a brief highlight whilst I sort myself out. Prior to last week I'd seen one Snowy Owl in my entire life. Or rather, the top third of one Snowy Owl. Now for the first time I have seen an entire one, in fact several entire ones. And take it from me that they don't get boring.
